ADDELLE YORK WINS ANNUAL TAP PORTFOLIO CONTEST
Addelle York, a second year Architecture student took home the TAP Architecture Prize at the school wide portfolio contest. As the recipient of this award, she has received a $500 scholarship and has been recognized at the TAP Architecture office.
“I am humbled to have won the TAP award,” says York. The TAP competition was sponsored annually by Oklahoma City architectural firm, The Architectural Partnership.
The award was open to all Architecture students. Nick Harm, Director of the Division of Architecture, said Addelle’s work was “well conceived well organized and professional and demonstrated excellent design/ graphic skills.” He also included that she has an impressive GPA and excellent comments from her past instructors.
The TAP award has gone through many phases throughout many years now. “Originally, the award was a design competition for poster production on architecture,” says Nick Harm. Formerly having a summer fellowship attached to it, the award is now strictly a portfolio submission contest.
Talk of incorporating international travel has been mentioned, but is still in negotiation. For more information about the sponsor of this award, TAP architecture, visit http://www.taparchitecture.com/.
